Hi,

I am attempting to restore the data on some Legato Networker DLT tapes.

The backups were created on another server (different server names) using Networker V6.1.12, on Windows 2000.

I can inventory the tapes using scanner.

When i try to perform a restore using scanner and the index number (scanner -S 601747969 \\.\Tape0 -x uasm -rv -m /=/)

it runs part through, but fails with the following error:

"uasm: cannot write to e:\filename.xxx. The data is invalid
scanner: writefailed, broken pipe

The job will then stop.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

did you determine that you can read the data on the tape correctly?

Is the block size used to read the tape the same as what was used to write the data on the tape?
