I have posted one thread but didn't helped me too much because the person that is in charge of reviewing the printing is convinced that there's no way to print my file. By the other hand I work for a company that doesn't have too much to do because the graphics job is done for free. I would like at least to clarify myself about her statements. She simply took some of my effects out of the cover and she will print with no style at all because they need the newsletter for "yesterday". If someone can help me figure out who is really wrong I would apprecite a lot. I will give all the details that I remember from the job.
1) Everything was done in Illustrator CS. There no links, no photos, etc.
2) The colors accecpted for this job are only spot colors, maximum two and I used the 282U and 429U.I can play with the colors wherever I want but keeping as spot colors.
3) The work had before outer glow, many gradients, shadows.
4) As she informed me, everything has to be printed as Pantone and not CMYK.
5) The printer that will be used I have no clue about it and she told me they have just purchased a brand new system.
6) I would like to know how to print separations colors with my printer so I can verify those mistakes before but my printer, EPSON CX4600 doesn't allow me to select the output options for some reason.
7) She told me also that some of the effects and filters in Illustrator and Photoshop do not work for printing just for Website. How come?? How do I know when they work?? What's the difference between the Filters and Effects?

Yesterday I changed everything on my cover to make the printing easier so basically the only thing I left was a outer glow behind a globe. She told me that there's no way to print this outer glow without being separated as CMYK (she has to have Pantone).

Please, any help is welcome. If more details are needed just tell me. I think I still have the chance to change the job but anyway, if not, I want to understand her points.

Thanks,

I would have to look at the file to see how this outer glow was created, I do believe some Illustrator filters only will support CMYK. This glow that you are talking about - is it possbile that you could recreate it in Photoshop as a Monotone and then import it into Illustrator as a linked image.

That's something that I always wanted to know. Is there any way for me to attach a work to a thread?? It seems to me that in some cases showing the artwork is better.

with the space removed between the first square bracket and the 'img' part should do it (see intact version below). Just replace the domainname and filename, and you're good to go. You will have to have a server to upload the file to, though.
