Help with CFLOCK and session variables

Hi,

I have just spent the last 9 months writing a application, to find out that I am supposed to use CFLOCK everytime I set a session variable ?!?

I have read Macromedia's docs on CFLOCK, but don't really understand.

Can somebody explain why I have to use CFLOCK every time I set a session variable (I have alot throughout the site)

Are you using MX? If so, it's my understanding that cflock is no longer needed in versions MX and MX 6.1

Yeah, I'm using CFMX 6.1.

Where did you hear that, beacuse I need to be sure.
