Hi friends

VFP Setup wizard allows to run a post-setup executable, but this feature does not support "%s" clause in file reference. Strange enough it asks to hard-code the path name and expect that file will be present at user's disk. But if user install my application on any other disk than C: this file will not be there, as expected.

What is the solution ?

Thanks in advance.

I think you are confusing the way a post-setup executable works, with the way the distributed files (specified in step 1) work.

The post-setup executable gets compiled into the setup package. When the user executes the setup package, the post-setup executable is installed to the application directory (specified in step 5, although the user can change it) and ran from there.

Does that clear the water? Jon Hawkins

Since your post-setup executable will be running in your newly installed directory, you should be able to determine where you are by:

?sys(5)+curdir()
or
?addbs(fullpath(set("default")))
