Can somebody explain to me what is the difference between two raid 1 drive and using two drive and disc image for saving the data and which way is better. Thank you

Using Raid means there only appears to be one drive - updates are mirrored in both drives, so if one fails, the other is there completely up to date.

If you use imaging to second drive, you needd to schedule backups yourself - and a failure will always mean a little lost data (though if backup schedule reasonable, shouldn't be much).
