Does anyone have an experience with using hand held devices (PDA or such) writing to an Access database?
If yes, any recommendations on software. This is what it will be used for.
Project Managers go to a site to close it out - the contractor doesn't get paid until all items are accounted for or closed out. So there are like 800 items where the project manager notes the status.
This is a huge (obnoxious) form - because up to 5 different groups could "own an issue" so the form is very lengthy as far as wasted paper.
Ideally they'd like to put it in a PDA or handheld device and answer the questions during the checklist - then go home - upload the checklist and it feeds the database.
Utopia is a better word for the process.
Would an Outlook form be the best for this - or is there quality software that is capable of working with a handheld that will feed Access???
