Hi all

How can I write a report in CR 8 which should look like the following ex.( F- found, NF -Not Found)
unit Descr Status category Id col1 col2 Col3 // headings

100 aaaa a category1 F F F
category2 NF F NF
category3 F F NF

200 bbbb a category2 NF F NF

300 cccc a category2 NF F NF
category3 F F NF

400 dddd a category1 F F F
category2 NF F NF

Thank you in advance,

Sweetie pie

Group by unit, and by category within unit.
Suppress detail lines and group headers and just show the report footer for category. Do a distinct count of categories, so that you can inclde unit and Descr in the group footer but suppress it after the first category for a unit.

Do running total counts for each column of whatever it is. Put formula fields in the group footer that test each count, and say F or NF depending.

I work with 8.5, so I may be suggesting stuff that's not available in 8. There are probably other ways to get the same effect.
