Grouping By Date

I've got a datetime field in an orcale database which I want to group by date. I've created a formula field to seperate the date from the time which works fine. When I try to group this formula field it seems to group all dates by week and show the group date as the sunday date. For example:

Group 26/07/2009
Detail 28/07/2009
29/07/2009
30/07/2009

Group 19/07/2009
Detail 20/07/2009
21/07/2009
22/07/2009

Is there a setting somewhere that makes this happen.

select group expert
select your grouping level
near the bottom of the box that comes up you will have an option to group by day, week month etc.....

that should fix your problem
