Group options missing 1

I am trying to group my weekdays on Weekly basis. SO I highlight the date and then click on group options
but the dropdown where it says ->print for each week is missing. I can only see drop down where it says 'The report will be sorted by --Asending--desending--

I have CR 8.5 version.

it probably isn't a date type, right click the field and select browse data, what does it say the type is?

You can then create a formula to convert it, and use the formula as the group.
