Ghosting Problems with Radeon 8500

I just bought a Radeon 8500 (the AR2L-B6 from Power Color) but i am experiencing a bit of a problem here...
What happens is that everything on screen (characters, icons, textboxes, windows, even a stroke in a pic) ghosts about 5 times to the right (5 translucid copies of it appears to the right).
I have already gotten the latest Catalyst drivers and the same thing happens.
i really don't have an idea how to solve this, but i know it's not a hardware problem, because the same thing (with this card) doesnt happen if u run safe mode, or with the general VGA drivers...

i wanted to know if anyone else epxperiences this and if anyone knows a way to fix it

Does it happen under all Resolution, Refresh rate, Screen area and colour?
If not, your monitor cannot handle your preferred setting.
