hi all,

i'm considering getting a pda and i was just wondering about a few things:
1-are they password protected?
2-can you use ms-word, excel, access, etc on them?
3-can you use any software from a normal pc - such as a program written for windows.
4-are there any programming functions on them, if so what languages?

1-3:Come to the local store and ask same questions.
4: Depends on PDA family. PalmOS has more development tools, than others.

1. The Palm in itself has low security. But you can add third-party software to increase it.
2. There are Word and Excel-like software, you can even download your word and excel files to the Palm and use them. But they are not the MS applications.
3. No. You can look for similar, but a program for pc won't run on a Palm.
4. Yes, you can programm them.
