G350 root password?

Does anyone out there know why when installing a G350 w/ an S8300 that the Installation Wizard and/or the Gateway Install Wizard give you a root password error and make you reset the root password?
The kicker is,after the fact-the password you set doesn't even work!You end up locked out of the root for the device.
Anyone seen this or have any feedback?

I had this on recent new installs, not sure why it's changed. When I changed the password through the AIW, I have been able to login again fine. If I run the Gateway Installation Wizard I do not set a password.

i have noticed quite a bit of threads concerning passwords on gateways, either root or dadmin. Looks like the Big A screwed something up.

To get into the G350 the username and password is:

root
root

I don't know what the 8300 is.

Starting with mgp firmware load 26.31.0, G250's and G350's force you to change the root password. I haven't seen this happen yet on G700's.

Thanks for the feedback guys-That's all good except I get a "connection not accepted" error when I tried to telnet into the Stack Proc.I re-burned the S8300(3 times) and now it's totally hosed.
I can't enable server acces,admin accounts,nada.
I've got a new S8300 coming.
Good thing for all the security though,when I retire I was planning on spending all my time hacking into stack proc's and screwing up port settings!
Why the super paranoid security?
I guess I'm just too trusting a Soul.
Back to the old drawing board tomorrow.

On the G350 you have to use the command "ip telnet". Do a copy run start after that to save.

Then you can telnet to the gateway.
