I'm fairly new to advanced features in FP and haven't used the FP includes before. I have used a template to create a new website and discovered how convenient the includes feature could be. However I can't seem to get it to work the way I thought it would.

Here's what I am trying to do with it: I have a personal weather station that has a software component that will do many things automatically. One of the things it will do is parse a prebuilt web page (very simple page, just a few lines of text) and replace specific tags with current weather conditions. It then FTPs the page up to the website folder I have defined. For the actual website I have a page called current.htm that has a FP includes component that points to the uploaded page from the weather station. I thought that by doing this the included content would always show the current information. That doesn't happen, the content is static and never changes even though the page being uploaded from the weather station is current.

Am I going about this the wrong way? I have seen many references to FP extensions becoming corrupted if you FTP into the folder. Is that what's happening?

All I want to have happen is for the actual website page (current.htm) to have the includes component show the updated content. The page from the weather station is uploaded every 5 minutes.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi FSNut01,
I've had similar problems in the past. I found that I needed to renew the page which included the 'includes' as well. I think this is your current.htm page. Don't know why I needed to do this but it has worked ever since I started using this method.

If you can help, GREAT
If I can help, EVEN BETTER
