From Underline text to Bold in one Macro? 1

Hi guys,

I have a long scientific report 90 pages. Now they tell me that all the underlined words which are spread around the paragraphs should be bold without the underline.

Is there any Macro or option which can make that happens?

Going word by word in a 90 pages documents has officially joined the Top Ten Chinese Torture Techniques...he he.

Use Find and Replace (Ctrl+H) ...

Click in the "Find what" box
Press Ctrl+U
Click in the "Replace with" box
Press Ctrl+B
Hit "Replace All"

That's it. No macro needed.

Thanks TonyJollans for a valuable tip!

That is easy and faster than a Macro indeed. Although this action it will change the underline to bold font, it will still maintain the underline while being a bold font.

No problem i just found out that i can also change the Format of the Font so it can remove the underline while changing it.

Sorry, missed that. That's what comes from typing without testing.

Glad you worked it out; for others who read this, while in the Replace with box, Press Ctrl+U twice.
