Hi there,
I am trying to install FreeBSD 5 on VMWare vers 3 which supports FreeBSD.
After I created all slices, the system copies and decompress everything on the disc until it arrives to decompressing ports. It starts from a data transfer of 80Kb/s to end to less than 2Kb/s after 20 minutes. It then stops completely. Is it a problem with VMWare?
I could try the installation without selecting ports but, being new to FreeBSD, I think ports would greatly help me in installing applications.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Bye
