While I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this question, I just want to ask anyway for confirmation. As far as my research shows, the change in Daylight Savings Time is not going to affect FoxPro (5,6 or 8) as long as the server the application is running on has the correct DST patch applied to it. Is this correct? I am pretty confident FoxPro pulls dates/times off of the server and/or the PC the application runs off of and does not internally calculate it within its own software. I just want to make sure of this so we're not running around at the last minute trying to adjust our programs.

TIA,
Michelle

All I can say is that Fox reads the system clock for the current date and time. There's no independent setting inside Fox to offset time zone or daylight saving adjustment.

I now wait for someone to come back and tell me of some really obscure switch buried deep in the bowels of the system.

Well, there are certainly ways to deal with dates/times using the Windows API and bypassing VFP's internal reading of the system clock. But again, we take what Windows gives us.

It's a Windows issue.
