I'm a unix administrator looking for help with Microsoft Access with which I have little experience. So if someone is inclined to answer a question from the dark side, can anyone tell me if a database developed under Access 2003 will run on Access 2002? By the normal laws of nature I shouldn't think so, but I'd like to know for sure. If not, is there a chance to move forms between the versions.

The native data format of Access 2003 is the same as Access 2002 (aka Access XP).
Provided you use late binding for OLE Automation you shouldn't have so many problems.

Hope This Helps, PH.

I did find an Access 2002 installation and it seemed to run ok. I'm at the A01 version at the moment but I had thought about bringing in OLE Automation down the line, so thanks for the tip.
