Hey, can somebody please remind me where the global variable is for forwarding hops? I think I need to bump it up by one and I can't seem to find it. For HP4K V7R2.

Thank you.

Thanks. I guess that didn't fix it. I used FWDX. Basically I am moving phones from one cabinet to another in preparation for a move tomorrow. So I moved the DIDs to the new building, and I went in the 4K and changed all the phones to PNEs in the new building, but they still have to do business for a few hours tomorrow before they physically move (because they were being A$$holes) so the phones are running "remotely" from the original building. When I call the phones that have voicemail they aren't rolling over to voicemail, but when I call the :logged off" pilot numbers that go to voicemail for auto attendant they work just fine... Confusing AF this late at night. I have one more thing to try - remove the forwarding and put it back on, probably REG-ZIEL and then dump it in a macro... Maybe it was something strange with the transfer. Hopefully otherwise when they plug the phones up in the new building it may just magically clear up. I run phones "remotely" all the time and haven't had problems until now.

I ended up fixing it by doing REG-ZIEL on each of the affected phones (4) and then dropping each line on the command line to execute, but then they came up as deactivated in the assistant. As soon as I activated them it started working again, so it must have lost sync somehow when I moved the phone from one gateway to another.

The lines below give the maximum (10) hops for Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU), Call Forward Busy (CFB), Call Forward No Reply (CFNR) and Call Deflection (CD)
The 1&&10 are 'Diversion Sequence Table Index'
If you DIS-ZAND:DIST; you will see what each of the 'Diversion Sequence Tables' apply to.

CHANGE-ZAND:DIST,1&&10,CFU,10,CFU&CFB&CFNR&CD;
CHANGE-ZAND:DIST,1&&10,CFB,10,CFU&CFB&CFNR&CD;
CHANGE-ZAND:DIST,1&&10,CFNR,10,CFU&CFB&CFNR&CD;
CHANGE-ZAND:DIST,1&&10,CD,10,CFU&CFB&CFNR&CD;

Yes, mine were already set for the max of 10 so I felt no need to mess with it. I think when I moved the phones to a different gateway it deactivated the forwarding, but Assistant said it was still activated, and also said it was synchronized. I did manage to get it back working by basically deactivating the forwarding and then activating it again.

If you do it again Don compare reg-ziel & reg-actda for before and after. Sounds like something is not added back in after the move.

Ohhhhh I'll get to do this 3 more times before the year is done (unfortunately). Our company has a "roof reduction plan" and unfortunately it's on a fast track. The next one is this coming Friday and I have to take a whole shelf and move it up the road 3 miles, while one of the two entities on the shelf has to stay in the original building before moving somewhere completely different. I've already renumbered all those remaining phones and have them remote off the main site now, and I have about half the other phones renumbered and running remotely in the new building, off the shelf I'm moving, but I can't finish the rest until the actual move. Then I will be connecting it to my very first PRI that doesn't come off a copper T1, but rather comes off an MPLS circuit and hosted off an option card plugged in to a Cisco router. Supposedly I have this well planned to death, and contingencies in place for whether they send me 4, 7 or 10 digits (I asked for 4), and supposedly as long as they have the protocols set correctly it should be easy - but I'm not looking forward to it regardless! None of the phones I've moved thus far have voicemail, so I haven't run into this forwarding issue until last night. When I looked at ACTDA it did not show any forwarding, but ZIEL did, so I knew it was something strange, like back in my 9006 days if some idiot typed ##90 instead of ##91 and shut off the system forwarding. You could look at DEST all day and it would tell you the forwarding was there, but SCSU would not show it assigned to the station.... Sometimes one wonders what goes through the minds of Ze Duetsch!

Don I'm assuming you have a vendor support contract. If you are current with RMX and Assistant hotfixes, you are using Assistant to make a move, reg-ziel & actda output is the same from before and after the move, but forwarding doesn't work afterwards - then you should report that as a fault. If AMO output is the same but behaviour is changed, then it would be an RMX issue..workaound fix could be just to make Assistant readd the forwards though so both would need to be current.

Yes, I have a parts, remote monitoring, and remote correction level contract, so I have access to ask questions and the like. I am current as far as I know, but I don't really have access to the software part of the portal even though I took the whole North American Service Curriculum so I can't see what versions are current. I'm current as of a couple of months ago because they gave me an RMX patch that fixed a very unusual daily reboot problem I was having that managed to carry over even from V7R1.

The confusing part of the whole thing is that Assistant showed the call forwarding as designed and the status was Activate, but ACTDA showed no forwarding and ZIEL did. Maybe I'll pass that along to my vendor engineer guy tomorrow and see if he wants to report it or try to duplicate it.

Thanks!
