Ohhhhh I'll get to do this 3 more times before the year is done (unfortunately). Our company has a "roof reduction plan" and unfortunately it's on a fast track. The next one is this coming Friday and I have to take a whole shelf and move it up the road 3 miles, while one of the two entities on the shelf has to stay in the original building before moving somewhere completely different. I've already renumbered all those remaining phones and have them remote off the main site now, and I have about half the other phones renumbered and running remotely in the new building, off the shelf I'm moving, but I can't finish the rest until the actual move. Then I will be connecting it to my very first PRI that doesn't come off a copper T1, but rather comes off an MPLS circuit and hosted off an option card plugged in to a Cisco router. Supposedly I have this well planned to death, and contingencies in place for whether they send me 4, 7 or 10 digits (I asked for 4), and supposedly as long as they have the protocols set correctly it should be easy - but I'm not looking forward to it regardless! None of the phones I've moved thus far have voicemail, so I haven't run into this forwarding issue until last night. When I looked at ACTDA it did not show any forwarding, but ZIEL did, so I knew it was something strange, like back in my 9006 days if some idiot typed ##90 instead of ##91 and shut off the system forwarding. You could look at DEST all day and it would tell you the forwarding was there, but SCSU would not show it assigned to the station.... Sometimes one wonders what goes through the minds of Ze Duetsch!
