Force a Phantom DN to use CLID Table

I'm trying to get a Phantom DN to send it's own CLID to external numbers, but it won't. The phantom DN is DCFWd to a mobile phone and when I call the Phantom's DDI number, the Mobile gets the main switchboard number, not the Phantom's CLID.

How do I force the phantom to send out it's CLID?

On some UK telephone Exchanges, you might need to remove the initial "0" against the 0113 etc. However, I've never actually tried CLID on a Phantom DN. Also your ISDN 30 needs to be I421 or Euro ISDN 30. I'm guessing that you are on a switch in the UK, Leeds?

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Look at your CLID tables, does 3 give you the option you want?

I don't think the CLID of the Phantom does anything, since it is never part of the call. I agree that would be great if it did - I have lots of applications for the same thing

trvlr1 - Yes, it works perfectly for the 1110 IP phones we have, they give out their DDI numbers when making calls.

GHTROUT - That's a shame, ideally I'd prefer the system to pass on the CLID from the incoming call, but I don't think that's allowed in the UK, so sending the phantom's CLID would have been a next best option, if that's not possible then I guess my users will just have to get used to it. :(

Thanks to everyone who responded :)

If you have Euro ISDN 30e, then I think there is a setting in the route data block to allow the incoming CLID to be passed through the CS1000 system. I can't remember where I found it, it might have been a previous thread on Tek-Tips?.

I don't suppose the same setting would be present on SIP trunks would it? I'll have a look see if I can find it, thanks.

Check out the flexible CLID manipulation feature. You can modify the outgoing CLID in a similar fashion to how you modify incoming numbers with IDC. You build a table and apply the table to entries on an RLI.

I've had a look at some of the RDB prompts and have spotted MBXR and SIND. I'm not sure if one of them related to passing on the CLID in and out of the phone system?. Does your SIP RDB have these prompts?.
