Hi everyone,

I just came across a friend that showed me a Windoz GUI for MySQL which looks very very decent.

So, f you don't know it already..

SQLyog

Available at

It is free and it has got ODBC import features to import tables and data from other databases as well synchrony options between MySQL DBs.

During my test it connected perfectly to my linux server from WinXP and succesfully imported data from a Ms SQL Server into a newly created database.

More details about

...Just to share it with you

Hi QatQat,

Yes, it looks nice.

I downloaded it about a week or two ago, but I haven't installed it yet because of other ongoing problems. (you already know about them)

I found out about it at The official forum for discussing MySQL-Front.

They have been up in arms about the fact that the author Ansgar Becker has discontinued the product.

MySQL-CC is nice too. But again I haven't looked at the yog to compare!

I am not a GUI person but import features make your life easier and this is the only one that has got it right.

Other features are good too but I am particularly interested in synchrony and import.
