Hi Folks,
Is there a trick in opening a powerpoint presentation at the end of a flash movie from within flash. The flash and ppt will be used on a local machine.
I was asked to do the flash work and the ppt was completed by someone else.
I am sure this has been asked before, but I cant seem to find it in my search for knowledge.

Thanks

I though of posting that link, but that mainly concerns integrating Flash in a powerpoint presentation.
This is not what you're looking for...[bigcheeks]

Although I've never tried it, guess you could start the ppt presentation with a simple getURL, or with a fscommand + exec and a batch file.

Read up about it here:

Cool Bill!
Yet, just this moment I was able to send my file to someone using another computer and it worked fine using this action:
getURL ("file:///C:/myfile.ppt", "_blank");

I had it saved in the C: folder

But I am sending this link on to my powerpoint peoples.
Running flash from within PPT will eliminate having to close out the flash window after the file runs.

That would have been my next feat.

actually the fscommand "quit" would work just fine for closing the window out!
Thanks again for the links
