Is there a way to find analog stations with ports defined but with no physical instrument attached?

I have 100 analog 2500 type stations for faxes, but I would like to find out which ones do not have a fax machine connected.

If you're on G650s, yes. G700/350, tough luck.

Test 48 does that. If you look for 513 errors against all 'station' maintenance objects, then those extensions/ports with 513s against the ANL-LN-PT maintenance object would be things that didn't respond to a ring voltage test.

Code:
Station Present Test (or Ringing Application Test) (#48)
This test applies momentary ringing voltage to the terminal equipment and monitors resulting
current flow to determine whether terminal equipment is connected to the port. This test may
cause some terminal equipment to ring briefly during daily maintenance. If this ringing disturbs
the customer or the terminal equipment, you can disable it via the Tests field on the change
station screen. However, on some software releases, Tests #6, 7, 161, and 35 are disabled.

You'd want to make sure that the analog stations have 'maintenance tests' enabled. It can be quite common to turn that off. If you don't you might get a hotel complaining to you that their guests are getting bothered by the phone ringing for half a ring in the middle of the night!

When I do this in my switch:

Code:
display errors Page 1 of 1
                                  ERROR REPORT

The following options control which errors will be displayed.

                           Extension:

I get this:

Great, thanks.

How do I "perform" test #48?

Just by doing "display errors" and entering type 513?
