I have an ibook for the summer, and would very much like to share files between it and the Win 98 clients on my Lan at the house. Does anyone know how to go about doing this?
Incidentally, the ibook is running 9.2.2 and OS X (10.1.4).

You'll need a 3rd party program to do it. For OS9, I usually recomend a program called Dave. It works well enough and is easy to set up.
In OSX, it's not quite as easy. you'll need to download and install Samba. And unless they've recently created a GUI interface for the program, it will require getting down to a terminal prompt and doing a little configuration for it there. The last time I set that up was probably 6 months ago, so there may be other choices out now that someone else may recomend.
Some people just setup an FTP or HTTP server on the mac and get files from it that way. Not a perfect solution, but it works as well. Remember, you're unique... just like everyone else.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you know where I can find Dave?
I'm not too worried about file sharing in OS X anyway, I will be mainly using it in 9.

Thanks for the input. I actually found a demo of PC MacLan from Miramar Systems, and it works very well. I'm gonna have a look at Dave as well.
