I have a p520 server that has been presented with 10GB of SAN disk. I'm wondering why I cannot "see" the new disk/dac with the fget_config command, however when I use the lsdev -Cc disk command a new hdisk is displayed? I've always used the fget_config command in the past. What's the difference?

Hi,

I have p-520 server too. But while executing the command "fget_config", its not showing anything. But it works with A and v flag.

# fget_config
#

# fget_config -v -A

---dar0---

User array name = 'snsds4300tt'
dac0 ACTIVE dac1 ACTIVE

Disk DAC LUN Logical Drive
hdisk4 dac0 0 tsm_diskpool1
hdisk5 dac1 1 tsm_diskpool2
hdisk6 dac1 2 tsm_diskpool3
hdisk7 dac1 3 tsm_diskpool4
hdisk8 dac1 4 tsm_diskpool5
hdisk9 dac1 5 tsm_diskpool6

# fget_config -A
---dar0---
dac0 ACTIVE dac1 ACTIVE
hdisk4 dac0
hdisk5 dac1
hdisk6 dac1
hdisk7 dac1
hdisk8 dac1
hdisk9 dac1

Thanks.
Sam

IMHO could it be in any way a zoning issue! Check your zone!
