Hi

I have setup the BOVPN using Basic DVCP Server and pointed the Soho at the FB and if I watch the FB Logs I see that the Soho connects downloads a configuration file and then disconcts but doesn't open a Tunnel.

If I try to ping a computer on the other side of the SOHO it trys to connect via the internet and not through the FB or VPN, if that makes sense.

Have I missed something?

Thanks

Michael

on the monitor screen we get the following messages

15/03/80 16:59 dvcpsv[107]: Connection established from Charlton (62.49.208.102)
15/03/80 16:59 dvcpsv[107]: Peer (Charlton (62.49.208.102)) requested config--no changes necessary
15/03/80 16:59 dvcpsv[107]: Terminating connection from Charlton (62.49.208.102)

Try sending some packets accross the tunnel from behind the soho, this should initiate the tunnel and get it up. What version of software are you running on the soho? Watchguard just released new software for the soho5, if your not running that version, download it now I believe it has a vpn keep alive feature.

I have tried that but nothing happens

I have also upgraded both the FB and SOHO to latest versions

but still no luck

So if you try and ping the remote network behind the firebox from behind the soho, what happens? Are there any errors in the soho? Have you tried regenerating the IPSEC keys on the soho?
