I posted this in norstar forum but I would like to read more options.
We need to use our 24ch T1 lines for a fax campaign that will start after certain hours every night, what will we need to do this? What fax server will work well with norstar to dial numbers from our database? What is the best solution?

Any input will be appreciated.

Wht you first of all need is a good lawyer to check the legality of what you are planning

IIRC there is strong legislation concerning the transmition on unsoliceted fax's

thanks IPGuru fo the advice,
we will be sending faxes to bussnises not homes so I dont think there will be a problem with this (correct me if I am wrong)

ipguru is right

spam is spam is spam

the fact you are sending to business dosnt mitigate that fact that its spam

who want to come in in the morning and find their fax machine out of paper becouse of a bunch of spam.

ipguru gave you good advice get a legal opion (or better yet find a legitimate way to promote your business )

personally I refuse to do business with comapnys that solicite me this way

I too refuse to do business with anyone that spam fax to me.

I would have to Echo the previous Postings,
I don't do business with people sending Junk Fax's for the reason's mentioned,
Secondly the Rules On Junk Fax's basically say if you have no relationship with someone you are sending it to you could be fined by the FCC, and Not $100 either,
Depending on the Size it might not be a bad idea to call the respective customers and ask them before sending it, if they say fine, then you can Send it, but if they say No Don't you better Darn Well Not
here is another Web site that lists the Specifics as to what you can and cannot do

The sending of unsolicited faxes to anyone, even businesses, is illegal now in most states. Be very carefull or you might be facing legal action.

Right Fax is the best hands down!

Right behind it though, I've resently discovered Fax Press and Castelle.

KILLBOX

I am with the rest of you NO JUNK FAXES!!. I will not do business with any junk faxer, spammer, junk mailer, or cold caller.

SO there you have it, a quick straw pole say unsoliceted faxes are probably ileagle, & almost certain to alienate your potential customers.

Obviously if you have a mailing list of existing customers you wish to send special offers etc. this is a different case, althoug then perhaps e-mail would be more convinient (again only to EXISTING registered recipients - DOWN WITH SPAM!)

Thanks all for the feedback, I feel I came to the right place for advice.
