Hi

I have a field on a form called “Usr_Name”, which contains a validation formula as a show below:

@If(Usr_Name="";@Failure("please enter a user name");@Success)

The Validation works fine and a error box is displayed with the message("please enter a user name")

The thing I would like to change, if it is possible is the title of the error message. Currently it shows as "Field Contains Incorrect Value".

Dose any one know if this can be changed? if so how?

Many Thanks

Personally, I always do my validation manually with Lotus Script, that way you can get everything just the way you want it. It takes a lot longer though!

You could use the @Prompt command, in the QuerySave event. That way you can set the title and everything. Have a look in Notes help. To answer your question, I don't think its possible to change the behaviour of the @Failure command and the validation rules.

I think Fishkake is right, and you have no additional options in the @Failure command anyway.

It looks like you'll have to learn Script to DIY your validations if the issue is a heavy one.

Pascal.
