I have a VBA macro in excel which extracts data from the racing post website - basically most of the info I get is either picked up in the source html code or can be extracted into excel by finding required URL's and using webquery to extract relevent tables.
They are now beta testing a new website which holds the same data as the old website but operates much differently
Most of the data I need (eg. URL links) doesn't appear in the source html code directly anymore. It looks like it runs Javascript?
Essentially I'm just trying to speed up collection of this data rather than clicking hundreds of links to get at what i need.
Can anyone give me some pointers on how this new site works and how best to extract data from their new website. The URLS are visible when my mouse is over them but I can't find a way to extract them either into excel using a tables webquery or from source?
Ideally I need to extract the at a glance card with post data in table format
Thanks for anyone willing to have a look and give me a few pointers
I won't be breaking any of the terms and conditions as this is for personal use
