I am in the process of consolidating Domains and eliminating a couple old servers. The very last thing I have left to do is to move a couple of Jet Direct controlled printers from the old server to the new server.
The first one was a no brainer... It was a HP 5 and I set the IP address for the jetdirect card to one on the networks subnet and it picked it up just fine...
My problem is that the other printer is a HP LJ2100 with an external 170x. The 170x is set to 202.100.100.17 and I can't see it from JetAdmin on the server (I'm assuming this is becasue it is in another subnet... we are using a 192.168.x.x network internally)
Is there some way I can set the IP address on the external Jet Direct card to something else? I would think you would have to if you are using Jetdirect solely over IP...
Anyone know how to do this???
