Extension 21 call pick up

I'm completely finished with a partner 6 install except for one little annoying detail. Extension 21, for whatever reason will not pick up the calls when the phone is ringing. You have to select the line that is ringing in order to answer it. The customer wants to be able to pick up the handset and automatically grab the ringing call. I'm snowballed. I can't think of what the problem would be. Does anyone have a suggestions?
 
I'm sorry. I can see after reading my original post on why you would think that. The extension currently rings just fine. Although when you pick up the handset to answer the call you do not get the incoming call, you get the next available open line (dial tone). If you want to answer the call you have to push the line that is ringing in order to get the caller. All of the other extensions, by factory default, answer the incoming call immediately when the handset is picked up. Normaly I would just switch extensions, but this is the second time in a month that this issue has come up with a customer of mine and I'm not sure what programming feature operates when the line must be manually pushed to get the call or automatically. Thanks in advance for any help.
 
All the docs I've read seem to indicate that all partner phones should 'auto select' a ringing line on any phone without any specific programming. Another suggestion in this forum was to 'save all reset'... I haven't been back to my site to do that to see if it works. (I still have to figure out how to do that...I'm new to partners
 
I stand corrected toolman18. The extension 3 feet away on the same counter top as ext 21 was the ring I was hearing. Extension 21 was set to no ring on all lines for whatever reason. Problem solved. Thanks for the advice.
