I am trying to figure out how to get the Notes data out of ACT without buying 3rd party software. What I see on the web is that this is not easy because Notes are not stored in a field.

The data is in there somewhere, is there any reasonable or semi-reasonable way to get at it?

I believe it is v 6. It is a very simple db application. Who would have thought ACT would make some fields into not-fields and difficult to access.

With ACT! 6.0, the Notes data is stored in the BLB and it not simple to access.

Later versions of ACT! are in SQL and there are more options.

With ACT! 6.0, the choices are to use the SDK (if you are a programmer) or to purchase a tool that is written using the SDK.

I personally use itExport -
The only other option is to send the database to someone who has itExport and get them to export it for you... but this is likely to cost a similar amount
