Expanding/Collapsing Menus in Javascript questions

I finally got my menus to expand & collapse correctly in NN 4.X and IE 5.X. However they are looking irregular on Macs using IE 5.0, and some select others. I do *not* wish to redirect users to an alternate page as the web site will become too much to maintain. My questions are, 1) did I do this javascript correctly 2) is it an impossible dream to get this script to work consistently in the majority o browsers? 3) does anyone know why it's being read differently by Macs and how to fix it?

sorry mate, wish I had a mac to test it on. one suggestion though. in your headings add:

onFocus="this.blur()"

that will get rid of the annoying focus lines jared@aauser.com -
