I have an Excel spreadsheet that is at least 10 years old. It's evolved over the years, but I haven't made any major changes in a long time. It just started acting up on me.

Here's the problem - I have 4 VBA macro programs that are activated by Control Buttons. Recently, the prompts on the control buttons have started displaying the wrong prompts, or have had a red X displayed instead of the prompt. If I look at the properties of the mislabeled buttons, the property sheet shows the correct prompt. If I then add a space after the prompt name on the property sheet, the correct prompt is displayed on the button. Clicking the button always runs the correct VBA code whether the displayed prompt is correct or not.

What is going on?

I think I might have fixed it. I messed around with the "Format Options", I think "aspect ratio", and it seems to have stabilized.
