I am using Office 97 Professional. Every time I start Excel 97 I get the following message:

"',MS $Access Form...,,,' could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify tht the file location is correct."

I assume this has to do with creating an Access Data Entry Form from Excel. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this message?

Thanks! [sig][/sig]

It sounds like the computer's previous user set up some kind of form from Access in Excel. It's possible that you may need to reinstall Excel to clear the problem. I ended up doing that with Microsoft Access. My network administrator said it was okay to delete all the inheirited databases in MyDocuments, but when I did, Access no longer worked! Someone may have done something strange with your computer like they did mine.

However, before you try the install, go to Tools and Options and try unchecking some of the options, like for links and see if that helps.

I did reinstall Excel but I think I may have to unistall it from the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs.

Billy, you didn't need to uninstall. Find the XLSTART directory on your hard drive and remove the files from it.

If that doesn't work, open Excel and hit Tools-Options, General tab. See if you've got something in the Alternate Startup Directory that is shown (go to that folder and remove the files from it).

Excel must first be closed before you remove the files or it won't work. [sig]

techsupportgirl@home.com
<a href=
[/sig]
