Error when recovering

When I'm restoring a userfolder (WinNT4.0)it restores some of the the folders, then it exits the recover job with an error saying "unable to write to folder". When I check the folder afterwards, all the files have been restored, so what I end up doing is taking one and one folder, no matter what sub-lvl it's on... is it a bug in the 6.0.1 version?
I was thinking it might have something to do with Legato trying to create folders that already exists or something down that road... anyone experienced anything similar?

rephrased:
A user has lost his "home" area on the server, a folder called <username>, if I just mark the entire folder for recover, it starts recovering, suddenly it just exits with the message, "unable to write to folder" and the last folder it tried to recover is a subfolder within the "home" folder. All the files in the folder are successfully restored, but the restore job doesn't complete, it just exits after this error. If I start the restore job again with the folder it gets an error on, I get error on another folder. It doesn't seem like it's because they're on a certain sub-lvl within the "home" area either.
If I just mark 1 and 1 file everything works fine, everything is restorede without errors (believe me, I sat down and manually marked about 1100 files)

Think I found the problem to be the version, the server I was trying to recover from was running 5.5.1, and it's been upgraded now.
