Using Crystal XI and while constructing a Report Alert, I pulled into the Condition a report field that is itself a formula. The formula, "AdjustedDate" considers a createdate field and compares that date to an array of holidays, if it finds a match it adds a day to the date. It then considers if the result has then fallen on a weekend and adds an additional day until it is neither a weekend or another holiday.
This results in a date being displayed in the report and the logic is working perfectly!
I want to create an alert that will be triggered when that formula, "AdjustedDate" is equal to PrintDate. However, I am getting the following error, "This field is not constant over the group that the Alert applies to."
Can someone give me an explanation why this error is being returned or suggest an alternative method of accomplishing my ultimate goal of creating the Report Alert trigger using the formulaic result of AdjustedDate?
