Error sending group mail

A user phoned me asking about messages that weren't sent from him to a group he created with several email addresses in it. I looked around and found a log that showed what the problem is, I'm just not familiar with it.

Could someone tell me what this means and how to correct it, please?

15:31:33 Error: GetRcptListItemCount, too large

He had sent to about 20 users' email addresses in that group. Our public group for this site is larger and has no problems.
