Error as installing Active Directory

After installing Windows adv 2000 Server, I start to set up active directory. But it failed, with errors said "the operation failed with following error : the network location cannot be reached. For information about network troubleshooting, see windows help"
actually, every thing seems okay, who has experience on it ?

Is the Server plugged into your network, or are you just trying to config the server prior to installation????
