Erro 137

Hi we have a machine that gets an error 137 - illegal device specification - not mass storage.

any idea what this actually means? Just trying to access a .dat file without an .idx even!!!!!

Please specify: What Cobol? When do you get the error? During compilation or runtime?

sorry, NetExpress 3.0.14 and it is a runtime error! A client is getting the error when accessing the application. It is just one machine at the site (all overs work fine). I thought it would be something something like permissions or hardware but they insist everything is fine!

could it be that? or any other ideas?
