How do i go about setting up an email server with windows 2000 server? i have the domain name and have the mx record linked to my ip but i still can't get it working. Does anyone have any ideas?

Are you using Exchange server? You have to setup a mail server first.

i will now we were just using vanilla 2000 server.

You can also check out third party software like IMail from Ipswitch. Works well without the Exchange headaches or prices. Good luck. Glen A. Johnson
