a user receives an email (opens it, prints it etc and then)moves it to a folder below the Inbox folder (Outlook 2002) Sometimes it will get duplicated or 4 copies will be seen.

Have viewed the message headers of the duplicates and all contain the same info.

The OST file is synchronised as well. No rules are in use that could be causing this. No forwarding from other users

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this. Exchange 2000 is our backend
Mailbox repair?

Thanks in advance for any help

Sounds like the messages might be getting stuck in the delivery queue on the Exchange server for whatever reason. Check the queue to see if they are there. Delete them if they are. You might have to stop and start the IMC service.

Hope this helps.

Caron.

the user files away a lot of these email into various folders.

I suspect the person is selecting the email with the control key and then still holding the key down, thinks they are moving the email when in fact they are making copies etc etc
