My computer recoginizes my drives really wierd.<br><br>here is a list:<br><br>this is in dos:<br><br>a:\ - part of CDROM<br>b:\ - floppy (3.5&quot;)<br>c:\ - hd1<br>d:\ - hd2<br>e:\ - other part of CDROM<br><br>this is in windows (before un-install):<br><br>a:\ - has icon (floppy icon), but not readable<br>b:\ - floppy (3.5&quot;)<br>c:\ - hd1<br>d:\ - hd2<br>e:\ - cdrom (not sure if all of it)<br><br>I now have acess to an operating system only through booting to the win98 cdrom, and only dos, so please refrence your answer to dos, not windows.<br><br>P.S. : I have a substancal amount of expirence in dos <p>theEclipse<br><a href=mailto:eclipse_web@hotmail.com>eclipse_web@hotmail.com</a><br><a href=robacarp.webjump.com>robacarp.webjump.com</a><br>**-Trying to build a documentation of a Javascript DOM, crossbrowser, of course. That's strange. The problem would be fairly easy to replicate with SUBST A: E:/WIN98. A: would be inaccessible if the Win98 CD-ROM wasn't in the tray (it would be a little harder to SUBST until E: only showed <i>part</i> of the CD-ROM).<br><br>Not saying that it is the root of your problem, just trying to think of ways to recreate it.
