Here's a quick question.

Do you define a DNS server on the PIX 501?
If so, how or where?

You can use DNS settings if you were going to use the pix for DHCP -- you can use 'ip name-server' to define dns servers on a router but I don't think this applies to pix... not sure why you would need to.

rbelt is right, you cannot configured a "dns server" so to speak on the PIX.
