Recently switched configuration of my home server to a multi-homed setup.

Problem is, when I used my Linksys Cable/DSL router, I could specify a DMZ Host to 'expose' a single (local) IP addy directly to the net. Now, I can't

With the new multi-homed setup, I can't connect my gaming box to any online internet games. They simply hang on connection, as it appears, information is only passing one way (speculation).

Solutions? (besides plugging the Linksys back in LOL)

Thx in advance!

A little more info may be in order here. . .
Server is a P3 1Ghz, 512Mb Ram, 200Gb storage, two 3Com NICs (One to cablemodem, one to 12 port switch(unmanaged)). All clients & Server are connected through 12 port switch. OS is (obviously, given the forum )) Win2k Server. Also running ZoneAlarm.

Server distributes net traffic to clients. All clients are hard-addressed (No DHCP). Experiencing no other net problems. Speed and throughput is at expected levels.

Zonealarm is set to throughput my gaming box, and have tried this w/ ZA shut completely down.

Thx again!

Are you using NAT to provide internet access for your gaming machine? Most games will not work through NAT unless they are direct play enabled. Kevin Mattson

Yes, I am using NAT to distribute net access throughout the network.

Do I switch it all to ICS? or is there another option?

Thx!

OK. . .

I've switched the distribution protocol on the server to ICS, and that's running well, except the original issue still remains, and even worse than before.

Now, the connections are bombing out / freezing up with even less progress than was previously evident while using NAT.

HELP!!
