Hi,

We have an IP 406 V1 system running 3.1 software

We are using Avaya 2402 handsets which seem to be working fine.

The system is setup with 3 Inbound call routes, one for Company 1, another for Company 2 and another for a Helpdesk.

As the handsets have a two line LED display which as default shows the extension and user name we would like this to also / instead display which route the incoming call is using and show up as Company 1, Company 2 or Helpdesk so we know how to answer the call.

I have been told my handsets are not compatible with an IP406 although I have read on the Avaya Support site that with version 3 software onwards the system will support them and everything else with the phones seem to be working fine.

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

Thanks....Rod

Use groups for each company. It should show the group name on the screen when a new call is presented.

Otherwise use phone manager
