Is there any way to disable the number displayed on optipoint devices?
hipath 4000 v4

If you mean it's own extension number showing on it's own screen - CHANGE-ZAND:TYPE=ALLDATA2,DSPOWNNO=NO; (System Wide Parameter)

thanks for listening.
I would like to disable extension number of one or the other not all. so I understand this line seems to disable all the extension number

It's a system wide parameter. All or nothing. Consider swapping the phone for a digital without display or an analog if it's a problem.

You can not individually block your extension number from appearing on your own phone, but in my humble opinion to do so is silly because you can call any other phone and ask what number you're at. However, you CAN block your extension number from showing for anyone else (internal or external) by changing the "Way to Display" parameter in Assistant for each station to No (or, optionally not block inside callers, but block outside calls from sending caller-id). I believe it is in SDAT, but I may be wrong, as well, and the AMO version of the parameter is SSTNO and setting it to Y will block the display on everything (number comes up unknown).

I do that for some of my call center phones because people like to call around the call center once they find out direct numbers, but the drawback to that is that when you place outgoing calls to people there are a number of them that will not answer the phone if it comes up as Unknown.

I've already tried this setting. I can not switch to analog and can not apply the disable all diplay setting

You can set them up with a ONS One Number Service extension via AUN Pickup Group.
In that way the shared number of the ONS can be on the screen.

If the system is V7 ? or V8
there are various optional patches.
which can be seen by
DIS-ZANDE:OPTFEA,ALLFLAGS;

Hey - I just looked at that!! How do I change one of those parameters? CHA-ZANDE:OPTFEA ??

I have been complaining for YEARS about the fact that when using OSPE fake phone - if you press the LINE key to get dial tone and then dial your digits you are fine, but there is no need to do that on a phone - you can just start dialing. If you just start dialing on OSPE that first keypress emits a beep that will rip your head off if you have headphones on and turned up loud enough to hear the actual call. When asking for help all I get is crickets... I want to flip on the #39 "suppress key clicks on IP Phones" feature to see if it stops doing that!! If it does I will have fun going back to TAC and rubbing their noses in it that I found an answer they couldn't! :eek:P

Also, did you see #202 - CLIP not working when ANI present.?? I wonder if that would be a solution to that one person who is having problems with CID on their analog stations?
