Does anyone know of a way to save a workbook in such a way that a macro wont run on subsequent opens. The problem is that the first time I open my spreadsheet, the AutoOpen macro goes off and gathers report info for the day it's opened. But on opening the macro a second (...and all others), I don't want the macro to run, else it will replace the original info with the info from the day it is opened again. I've just told everyone to disable macros when opening, but it would be nice to do it automatically!

Thanks

Solution 1
Introduce a counter in your macro (via a table): if the counter is greather than 1 jump the uptades of information
Solution 2
Save the information somewhere with a name including date-time

Hote these simple solutions could help you.

You'll probobly get a lot more helpful advice over on the MSOffice board rather this Access Specific VBA board.

Few active Access Programmers ( if any ) have long enough memories to recall using Macros - we all use VB Code. And as this board is specifically about Access VBA - I think the Office board will be frequented by more people who are likely to be able to help you.
