Disable ActiveX Refresh button 2

In CE8.5, using the ActiveX viewer ( by way of an init=actx entry on the URL) is there a way to disable or, better yet, remove the Refresh button?

We call our reports thru custom code ending up with a

http://ceserver/viewrpt.cwr?id=1224&promptex-empnbr=123456&init=actx

call, for instance.

Is there some place to edit the Viewer itself so the refresh option is not availaable?

Have you tried disabling the Refresh Report Data option in the CMC?

Open the CMC.
Under Manage Servers, click the Web Component Servers name.
Down at the bottom, deselect "Refresh Report Data" under "ActiveX and Java Viewers".
Click Update.
Now open up the CCM and restart the Web Component Server (WCS). You cannot restart the WCS while in the CMC so you have to go to the CCM.
Now try you report again using the URL. This works for viewing reports through CMC and ePortfolio.

Let me know how this turns out for URL reporting.

I just tested it out and it worked properly. The Refresh button was not in the viewer at all. It also looks like you can disable alot of the other buttons as well, if need be.

Ideally, I would like to do it on a report or folder basis, but this is fine for 99% of my system.
