I know per the Merlin Legend R6.1 Network Reference that it states when using centralized voicemail you cannot utilize direct vm to the remote site. Is there any work-around that anyone knows of or is it just the way it is?

That's pretty much the way it is. I've used a 2nd auto attendant with selector codes that do mailbox transfers, so you transfer to an extension that answers with the AA, hit the appropriate selector code, then hang up.

If the voice mail allows phantom mailboxes (a mailbox that records its incoming message in a different mailbox, you could assign a 2nd extension number that always answers with VM (if the phone is Ext. 101, the VM extension could be 202, just to keep it logical.)
