Hello,

I have written an Access Project for a multiuser environment. I thought I had everthing figure out until 2 users tried to view the same report. The second user saw the correct data but formatted for the first user.

Here is my problem;
The main report contains 2 subreports with object that are either visible or invisible based on the time period they want to see (the report is used to display inventory numbers over a time period). To do this, I open the subreport in preview mode, hide or show the text fields, and then save the sub report.

When the main report is opened, the subreports are properly formatted to display the required information.

But when the second user attemps to open the report for a different time period and inventory item, the data he views is for the correct item ( the filter works great) but the subreports are formatted for the first user.

I assume the second subreports don't get formatted is because the report is already opened and it cannot be saved. I followed the code in debug mode and it goes through all the formatting steps and does not generate an error when saving the sub repor for the second user.

In order to correct this, I thought I could simply create and open another instance of the report, but I am unsure how to handle the sub reports.

My question is this;
When creating an new instance of a report, are the sub reports also recreated as a new instance, or do I need to create new instance of the subreports and assign them to the new main report.

I know this seams complicated. It took me almost a week to figure out how to write the report in the first place.
The report has 5 subreports but only 2 I need to change.

Any help would be appreciated.
